THOMAS FORD & PARTNERS
GLASS
Our work inspecting church buildings often means that we are the first to draw attention to issues affecting stained glass and we have been privileged to work alongside specialist glaziers caring for some of the best stained glass in the UK. We have also designed and supported artists commissioned for new work in glass.
In completely different form, we have also repaired and restored whole buildings in glass from the glass houses of Bishops Park and Langtons House, to restoring the double curved glass conservatory of a community building in Forest Hill.
STAINED GLASS
BISHOPS PARK
FULHAM
Following the successful completion of our restoration of Fulham Palace, we were appointed as part of a landscape-architect led team to restore Bishops Park. A wide range of architectural work included the restoration of the Listed Vinery.
STANSTEAD LODGE
FOREST HILL
Restoration of a double curved glass conservatory in Forest Hill, originally built in an extension to a private house that is now in community use. The curved roof and lantern were recreated from old photographs and remaining fragments of glass.
